Between 1969 and 1973 ITV produced a comedy Christmas Special featuring short sketches from its sitcoms, hosted by comedian Jimmy Tarbuck. The 1972 edition included a sketch by the cast of On the Buses, albeit minus Reg Varney but featuring one of the wheeled stars, Eastern National 2917 (AEV811F), a late model Bristol Lodekka FLF, suitably decorated:

Also glimpsed inside Wood Green garage are two other Lodekkas in this attractive livery, with 'Luxton and District' fleetnames especially applied:

Who would have thought that Luxton and District would join the National Bus Company??!!
