"I'm pretty sure that I once saw a 1950s detective film set in Los Angeles which had shots of the PCC trams
used by the Pacific Electric Railway on its routes to Glendale and Burbank. In one scene, a woman boards one of these
cars in the downtown subway terminal in Los Angeles, and a detective is told to follow her.
In a later shot, she disembarks from the car in the middle of a suburban roadway." (thanks Alan Sinclair).
Barry Spence comments: "I'm sure Alan is referring to a 1947 black and white Warner Brothers film titled 'Possessed'.
It starred Joan Crawford and Van Heflin.
