Rod Grealish remembers an advertisement for the then new and revolutionary Leyland Atlantean double deck bus, "which appeared on 1 June 1959, the day when bus services replaced trolleybuses in Hastings. The Atlanteans were the first of their kind in service. The advert showed a person running for a departing bus and the doors closing against him. The commentary pointed out this safety feature."
The advert appeared during the TV series 'Rawhide' or 'Wagon Train' on a Monday night. More information welcomed.
